menasina saaru (pepper rasam)
This is a recipe made when you have had one meal in the day which was very heavy, you would like to go easy for dinner with this recipe.
Ingredients:
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Urad dal : 4 tsp
pepper : 2 tbsp
Coconut : as you like
Method:
Please boil a litre of water and add salt to the same. Simultaneously add some ghee to a colander, and once it is hot add urad dal, and pepper alongwith some asafoetida, and add coconut when cool. Grind this mixture and add to the boiling water, and ensure it does not form lumps. Once you mix it properly let it boil for a few minutes. Once it boils enough, make a seasoning of mustard seeds and curry leaves.
Just before you serve, add a quarter cup of milk and then serve.
Eat when hot!!
