Gorikai Palya 


Ingredients:

  • 250g Gorikai (cluster Beans), washed and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Urad Dal
  • 2 Green Chillies, sliced
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed
  • 1 tablespoon Jaggery
  • 3-4 tablespoons Peanut Powder

Instructions:

  1. Tempering:

    • In a pan, heat oil and add urad dal.
    • Once the dal turns golden, add the green chillies and sauté.
  2. Cook the Beans:

    • Add the chopped Gorikai,  salt, and water.
    • Cover and cook until the beans are half-cooked.
  3. Add Jaggery and Peanut Powder:

    • Add jaggery and let it dissolve.
    • Before the water completely evaporates, add peanut powder.
    • Mix well and cook until the beans are tender.
  4. Serve:

    • Serve hot as a side dish.
