Vegetable Sagu Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Masala:
- Onion: 1 large
- Green Chillies: 3-4 (adjust to taste)
- Coconut: ½ cup, grated
- Coriander Leaves: A handful
- Jeera (Cumin Seeds): 1 tsp
- Bengal Gram Dal: 1 tbsp
- Cinnamon: 1-inch stick
- Khus Khus (Poppy Seeds): 1 tsp
- Lavang (Cloves): 2-3
For the Sagu:
- Mixed Vegetables: 2 cups (carrots, beans, potatoes, peas, etc.), cut into cubes
- Salt: To taste
Instructions:
- Prepare Masala: Grind onion, green chillies, coconut, coriander leaves, jeera, Bengal gram dal, cinnamon, khus khus, and lavang into a smooth paste.
- Boil Vegetables: In a pot, boil the mixed vegetables with salt until they are cooked but still firm.
- Combine & Cook: Add the ground masala to the boiled vegetables and mix well. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve: Serve hot with puri or chapathi.
