Masala Bath
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Basmati Rice
- 1 bunch Coriander Leaves
- 2 tablespoons Khus Khus (Poppy Seeds)
- Green Chillies (as per taste)
- 1/2 cup Fresh Coconut
- 3 tablespoons Oil
- 2 Cloves
- 3-inch piece of Cinnamon
- 2 Onions
Instructions:
Prepare the Masala:
- Grind 1 onion, salt, coriander leaves, green chillies, khus, and coconut into a smooth paste.
Cook the Spices and Onions:
- In a pan, heat 3 tablespoons of oil.
- Add the cinnamon, cloves, and finely chopped remaining onion.
- Fry until the onion turns translucent.
Cook the Masala:
- Add the ground masala paste to the pan.
- Add salt and sauté for 3 minutes.
Cook the Rice:
- Mix the raw rice into the masala mixture.
- Add 2 cups of water.
- Cook until the rice is done.
Garnish and Serve:
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot.
