Beans Palya

 


A lightly sautéed vegetable dish commonly served with sambar rice.

🛒 Ingredients:

  • Finely chopped beans

  • Mustard seeds

  • Urad dal

  • Green chillies

  • Curry leaves

  • Salt

  • Oil

  • Grated coconut

 Method:

  1. Heat oil and add mustard seeds and urad dal.

  2. Add green chillies and curry leaves.

  3. Add chopped beans and salt.

  4. Cook covered until tender.

  5. Add grated coconut and mix well.

 A Note from Tradition:

A staple weekday palya that was both nutritious and easy to prepare.
