Tomato Chutney

 


Perfect as an accompaniment to idli, dosa or even chapati.

🛒 Ingredients:

  • Tomatoes

  • Dry red chillies

  • Garlic

  • Mustard seeds

  • Curry leaves

  • Salt

  • Oil

 Method:

  1. Fry tomatoes and dry red chillies in oil.

  2. Allow to cool and grind with salt and garlic.

  3. Temper mustard seeds and curry leaves in oil.

  4. Pour tempering over chutney.

 A Note from Tradition:

Tomato chutney was often made when coconut was not readily available at home.
