Puliyogare Powder

This tangy spice mix was the secret behind temple-style tamarind rice.

🛒 Ingredients:

  • Coriander seeds

  • Dry red chillies

  • Sesame seeds

  • Chana dal

  • Urad dal

  • Fenugreek seeds

  • Mustard seeds

  • Curry leaves

  • Asafoetida

 Method:

  1. Dry roast coriander seeds until aromatic.

  2. Roast chana dal and urad dal separately.

  3. Roast sesame seeds and fenugreek seeds lightly.

  4. Fry dry red chillies and curry leaves with a few drops of oil.

  5. Add mustard seeds and roast briefly.

  6. Allow everything to cool and grind with asafoetida.
