Mysore Style Curd Rice

 


No South Indian meal feels complete without a bowl of cooling curd rice.

🛒 Ingredients:

  • Cooked rice

  • Curd

  • Salt

  • Mustard seeds

  • Curry leaves

  • Green chillies

  • Grated carrot (optional)

  • Coriander leaves

 Method:

  1. Mash cooked rice slightly.

  2. Add curd and salt and mix well.

  3. Temper mustard seeds, curry leaves and green chillies.

  4. Add tempering to rice.

  5. Garnish with grated carrot and coriander leaves.

 A Note from Tradition:

Curd rice was often packed for travel due to its cooling and soothing properties.
